In Adelaide

We finaly made it to Adelaide and got met at the airport by Belinda, Nick and Jeff. I got into strife by airport security because Jeff threw something at me as we were walking up the ramp but when I explained to the security lady that he is Irish she just said "ah that explains it then".

20 Minutes later we got to the house Belinda organised for us..... our tent will easily fit into the living room but I'm not sure they'll get elephants here. It was great seeing the family and having dinner with them but it was even nicer getting into bed last night after 2 days on a plane. I woke up very early to the sounds of Magpies and Gallahs with a Laughing Kookaburra in the background. I made some coffee and sat outside watching the birds over the golfcourse and soon realised that my sleeping bag may not be enough cause it's bloody cold cold here.

I went for a 6km run this morning and am sure I found every hill in this part of the world. Later when I explained where I had run Dee said I had run past Belinda's house. Still not sure which one it was.........

After pulling Jeff out of bed and getting him to down his coffee I put him through his paces on the pavement..... found him a bit lacking.... mind you I was a bit bushed myself. Anyway push-ups, burpees, mountain climbers, TRX Lat Pulls, short sprints and box jumps were enough for the first day.

We met the neighbors dog, border collie cross German Shephard. Gonna be a monster when it grows up.

Out came the kit for the walk just to check what we got and still need and to sort out what extra stuff Jeff needs. We have an important appointment with a very large and well stocked camping store later (cant wait) We have an appoinment with the Heysen Trail office later to get some of the final details down and to register.  I am trying not to get too excited about the camping shop trip cause the budget is tight but I  am still going to play and fondle all the kit I can......
