Day 24: Rossiters Hut to Tanunda

Daily distance: 14.9km
Total distance: 365.02km

It started raining during the night and the wind had picked up so things were wet.... and cold. We got everything packed, ourselves covered and headed off in the rain and mist back up the road we had headed down the night before. Well, without the detour of the night before though!

We passed through the Kaiserstuhl Nature Reserve before heading down towards Tanunda town. The weather was not to bad and behaved most of the way down. Scenary was great with awesome veiws of the valleys between us and Tanunda town. We eventually came down out the rain and mist and thought a short walk would have us and in town...... WRONG....... It seemed to take forever and when we did get to what we thaught was the town we, walked another half hour before getting to the main street.

Once we got onto the main street we looked for and found a small coffee shop and took packs off, not before turning heads as we looked like two massive hunch backs. A great feed took place before we loaded up again and headed in the opposite direction towards the Hotel we were staying in. It did not take long for the room to become a Chinese laundry with kit drying all over the place.

Jeff arrived with 2kg's of biltong.....yip biltong! He got it at a South African shop in Adelaide before coming out. What a champion......... Unfortunately I found my boots had split down the side so that means I would have to use another pair. Eish sore feet!

We had dinner in the hotels bar area and got accosted by a "Pure Blond". Awesome!
