It was a splendid morning with superb sunshine however very, very cold. We left the caravan park and attempted to find the track which took us 1.5km and through the Crystal Brook golf course. This was a very good learning curve for me as I learnt that not all greens are green, and also not all made of grass. These "greens" are black and made of tar..... Interesting!
We eventually found the path and headed off towards Bowmans Hut. This hut was 5km's away from the caravan park so we stopped there for our breakfast. It looked like a really nice hut and we both felt sorry not to be staying there, however it was not far enough and also only 9 in the morning. From Bowmans we headed into a valley and stayed in the valley for 10km. It was great single track following the Crystal Brook. A 2 track road came into the vally which we stayed on for a long time. At one stage we went through asmall orchard and 'borrowed' a couple of oranges. They wre extrem2ly tasty.
After this the walk got long and boring. So not to bore you anybody with what we did let me tell you we now have sore feet with blisters, sore shoulders with very tired muscles. We are in a hut at the caravan park having had a pizza at the hotel and now listening to the wind try blow the house over.
Until next time.... keep walking!
