It was sad today to have Dee drop us off and not be with me for this section of the walk. However the weather was great, sun through mist, so Jeff and I set a good pace at the start. The road was exceptionally muddy which made the going a bit tough. Also the different boots did not like my feet that much.
Most of the walk this morning to Greenock was on dirt roads some of which were extremely muddy. We got to Greenock in very quick time and hada bite to eat at a road stop shop. This was after we had walked past and gone to the hotel only to be told they did not do food so we got sent back to the garage. Well, at least we got to leave our bags in the hotel pub, being looked after by the bar lady.
Greenock to Kapunda was a long, long walk. We walked down fences, over tar roads, up hills and down dales. We spoke to sheep, horses, emu's and cows before eventually coming to the outskirts of Kapunda. The walk from the outskirts of town to the tourist park would have been alot quicker if it had not been for some lengthy help and advice on equipment and survival skills from "Forrest Gump"! However we did eventually make it, aching feet and all. We ordered pizza, and now we're just chilling.
Feet and boots for both of us are a worry for tomorrow and the forthcoming days! Welcome back Jeff.........
